It is clear that in relationships, we must endure losses, but the losses cannot last forever, and neither are they meaningless. Our culture puts down people who tend toward less stable bondings, while at the same time the rules of life seem to force people into situations they really have no desire to stay in, glazing it an an aura of perfection. It’s a horrendous contradiction, you can see it plainly, and you know it’s not your cup of tea. There are, at this juncture of your life, no such definitions you fit, particularly if you fit them at an earlier time in your development. But now you have the challenge of making your own definitions, setting your own ideas into motion, and finally setting the terms on which you relate to others.
